What is mathematics? I am sure, we think some numbers, formulas, or x and y may be. Yups, that is not false. We are often say that mathematics is difficult, right? Okay, in here, we are going discuss about mathematics. Do you know, Guys? I have some opinion about that. Okay, are you ready with our discuss? Sippp, I will begin.

First, mathematics is a mother of science. Yups, I agree with that statement because mathematics is a ground of other science such as physics, biology, chemical and else. Do you remember? Okay, we can find that in physics. For example, we learn about acount numbers, or integral to find a speed value or acceleration or else. we can learn that in mathematics. It will be explored in mathematics. In mathematics, we learn about logic, arithmetic, algebra, geometry, probability, statistics, and calculus. So, we are not only learn about numbers but also we learn about logic statement. Mr. Rahmat Sagara said, “Do not ask about the benefits of science that we learn but believe that science has benefits for you.” Yups, I agree with him.

            Second, mathematics is language. Do you agree with me? Mathematics is often called “Language of nature” because it is so useful for modeling the natural world. We can find formulas of nature and go back in nature. That is not easy but we need try, Guys. In mathematics, we can reduce the problem in world to be a simple formulas or language. The mathematics symbol is familiar context so that can learned by all people. we can communicate with mathematics. We can use them to solve our problem.

            Third, mathematics is art. Do you remember? May be, when you were in elementary school, the teacher gave a shape, such as rectangle, circle, or cube for you. Or, you drawn a graph or else. Do you know? You have to draw a art. How to put the point in cartesian diagram, that need art skill. Do you know, again? If we connect a point by point, we can get a shape. That is very interesting, right?

            Fourth, mathematics is fun. We can play with mathematis. We can search a pattern of formula. We can learn about many shapes. That is interesting. Mathematics is not only formula but also anything in nature are mathematics.

We can find and need mathematics. For example, if you are a wife-house, you need mathematics to determine a food composition or manage your family’s money. Or, the dustman also need mathematics in their life. They need mathematics to manage their money or monthly income in their life.

Mathematics is very important for our life. So, Indonesian children should understand well. Actualy, mathematics is not difficult, but our mainset make that to be difficult. So we are new generation of teacher must change the bad mainset of students about mathematics. We as teachers candidate so we must make a fun teaching and learning process so that students can enjoy that. Do not be a cruel teacher. Make students have motivation to learn mathematics. What is the meaning of name? This is the phrase that we often hear. But, whatever definition or explanation about the name, I think the meaning of name is an important part of life. The name is something historic in life. It is also an implicit part of a prayer and hope.

Okay, in here I will try to share about the name, may be, you also have name as my name. Nothing is impossible. Firstly, I want to introduce myself. My name is Dian Sulistiani. Actually, it is difficult for me to explain what is the meaning of my name. The name was a gift from my parents. That is not only a name but that is a unique story of my life. Okay, I will explain my name story. Actually, I am not the first child of my family. I still have a sister, but when my sister was born in this world, the condition of my family was less supportive families. My father was seriously ill and the economy was so bad. Some day after the birth of my sister, God took back her. Like or not, my parents must be willing that.

My parents believed God give us the best anything. After one year, my mother pregnant again. After 9 months and 10 days, a baby girl was born. My birth was not given any changes in my family. But both my parents were proud and happy. I gave a new life and new expectation. So, my parents found the best name for me. It is Dian Sulistiani. According them, as a first daughter that she life and one day will be a guide for younger, Dian is perfect. My father said that Dian is light source, Sulistiani is a good woman. So, in my opinion, Dian Sulistiani is a good woman that can be lighter to other in every time and anywhere. I believe, my parents give my name like that’s, they hope so that their children become a good people in attitude, character, and great dreams. May be if I related in my historic of life, my name is very important. A expectation of my parents. That all are the meaning of my name that is my opinion.

Perhaps because my name, I grew up be a person who has the courage, have give up and most importantly, how can I change the lives of all the things around me for the better. I am proud to be the names of both parents. I think that is perfect for me. I am comfortable with it. As people that have the name, I always try to achieve that dream of my parents. I love my parents so much, my parents are very good at choosing names for their children. I am very fortunate.
